Growing carrots is easy but important thing is soil preparation. Soil should be deep prepared and loose to retain moisture but also drains well. Loose soil prevents root deforming and allows carrot to grow deep easily.
Use well rotted manure to improve or keep soil quality. Remember never
to use fresh or not well rotted manure, it can damage carrots or stimulate branching of the
roots. After manure is spread till the soil, smooth the surface and start preparing rows for sowing.
If you want to grow carrots earlier, you can start sowing 4-5 weeks
before last spring frost date. That way seed can get enough moisture and
carrot seed would germinate easily and carrot cotyledons come out
earlier. Keep sowing regularly to have carrots all year round, just make
sure to take them out from the soil before the first frost. How to grow carrots, short guide
