How to Air Dry Chilies

Friday, April 17, 2015 | Publish by My CookBook

If you grow chilies in your garden or your balcony pots and you want to preserve for winter days and spicy dishes, this is an easy way to do it. It is always better to know what you eat and where it came from, than buying dry chilies in supermarkets.

When you pick chilies, make sure they have their stalk on. They have to be in good shape, not damaged. Take one stronger sewing thread and tie tightly around each stalk. You can also use a needle and pierce through stalk same as you would make a beads necklace. Make sure that thread can hold weight of chilies, then tie ends together and hang chilies on some windy spot where they can stay until completely dry.
