Cumin is native to India and east Mediterranean and cumin seeds are used in cuisine ground or whole. In many countries cumin is used as medicinal plant to treat anemia, cold, or to improve digestion. Cumin has been used in India for millennia, to spice up many dishes, such as soups, masalas and kormas.
