Mushrooms have been used for a few thousands of years as medicine and food. There are many types of mushrooms but all have one thing in common and that is a very long list of health benefits. In ancient Egypt mushrooms were a favorite food of Pharaohs and in China this food was considered as a health food. In ancient Greece mushrooms were given warriors before battle and in Rome mushrooms were served on special occasions as a precious gift from God. Nowadays we find them in many dishes such are stews, pizza, pie, soup, salad and many more.
