Dragon Fruit (Pitaya) Health Benefits

 Dragon fruit is not only appreciated for its specific taste and texture but also because it is packed with a number of essential nutrients and vitamins. This fruit is also called Pitaya or Pitahaya and is native to Central and South America.

Health benefits of dragon fruit
  1. Lowers cholesterol 
  2. Rich in vitamin C 
  3. Excellent source of antioxidants 
  4. Rich in calcium 
  5. Lots of dietary fiber (1 g of fiber on 100 g fresh, or 10 g of fiber on 100 g dried dragon fruit)

  10. Moisturizing skin 
  11. Stimulate appetite 
  12. Helps with asthma and some respiratory infections
